SNAP 2021: What and How to Prepare?


The Symbiosis International (Deemed) University conducts the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP Test). It is a management aptitude test for admission into MBA and PGDM programs in 16 institutes of Symbiosis. Various MBA courses offered include MBA Marketing, MBA Communication Management, MBA International Business, MBA Business Analytics, etc.

To be held online, the SNAP 2021 test will include questions from General English, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency. Candidates who have cleared the SNAP examination must participate in Group Exercise, Written Ability Test, and Personal Interaction.

The speed-based test is held nationwide and once a year. Candidates can attempt the test 3 times. On average, 50,000 students apply for the SNAP exam. The test is held in 94 cities.



Important Dates The SNAP exam will be conducted in December 2021 and January 2022. The Computer Based test will take place across India in 94 cities from 11 AM to 12 PM.

Candidates can access the registration form on the official website by the end of August 2021.

Candidates may attempt the mock test scheduled in the month of October and November.

The registration form for SNAP 2021 will end on the last week of November 2021.

Registered candidates can access their admit cards in December 2021.


Exam Pattern Each candidate has to attempt 60 MCQ questions within 60 minutes.

Previously, the exam duration was for 120 minutes which has been reduced to 60 minutes in 2020. In addition, there were 110 questions, now reduced to 60.

For each correct answer, one mark is awarded, and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.


Exam Syllabus Candidates must prepare for the SNAP 2021 test, keeping in mind the following syllabus:

● General English – 15 Questions

● Analytical & Logical Reasoning – 20 Questions

● Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency – 25 Questions


Eligibility

● Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation from any recognized university.

● Students preparing for their final examination can also apply for SNAP.

● All candidates must have their passing certificates. International students must obtain a certificate of equivalence from AIU (Association of Indian Universities).


Preparation Tips SNAP test is considered speed-based, where candidates are tested on their analytical and logical aptitude.

✔ Candidates must keep in mind the exam pattern and test structure of the SNAP exam.

✔ Preparation must be based on the SNAP syllabus.

✔ Mock tests are available for candidates to attempt to have a clear understanding of what to expect in the paper.

✔ By practicing previous years’ question papers, candidates can build on their time management.

✔ Candidates must collect relevant study materials and books for the preparation.

✔ Cover basic vocabulary and grammar for preparation of English section. In addition, read passages.

✔ Practice calculations on questions from Mensuration, Geometry, and Algebra.

✔ Prepare for logic-based questions


Selection Process After announcing the SNAP 2021 results, Symbiosis (Deemed to be) University will begin the admission process.

Shortlisted candidates must be present for the Group Exercise, followed by Personal Interaction and a Written Ability Test. The final selection will be based on the overall score and will be published in the fourth week of February 2022.
