Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Clerk examination takes place every year.
Through this examination, the Common recruitment process (CRP), candidates who cleared the test will be recruited to clerical cadre posts in India’s banks. Vacancies at the public sector banks are filled by candidates who cleared the CRP.
To clear the selection process, candidates have to attempt and qualify both the Preliminary and Mains. 3000+ clerical posts are vacant in the various banks.
The banks participating this year include Indian Overseas Bank, UCO Bank, Indian Bank Punjab & Sind Bank, Union Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, and Bank of India.
Important Dates. The dates of the IBPS Clerk process for the year 2021 have been released.
The preliminary examination will take place on August 28th and 29th and September 4th and 5th.
Mains will take place on October 31st.
Candidates can fill the online registration form, which is open till July 2021. Choice of test centre will be given to the candidates.
Call letter for IBPS Clerk 2021 Prelims will be released in August 2021. The results for this level will be released in September 2021.
Call letters for the Main examination will be available on October 2021, and the results will be declared on April 1st, 2022.
IBPS Clerk 2021 Exam Pattern.
There are 11 participating banks for the clerk posts.
The application form and exam mode will be online.
For a qualification to the clerk posts, candidates must clear both the Preliminary and Mains. Unlike the IBPS PO exam, there is no interview process. Questions will be asked on Multiple Choice Based.
For the Preliminary, the candidates are tested based on their English, aptitude, and intellect. The cut-off for each section must be cleared to proceed to the next round. Each section must be completed in 20 minutes. The total mark is 100.
The Mains for IBPS Clerk 2021 will have 190 questions that need to be attempted within 160 minutes. The paper will come in two languages, i.e., English and Hindi. The sections included in the Mains are Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, English Language, General/ Financial Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude.
For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted from the score.
The score from the Mains will be considered for final selection.
Candidates applying for the IBPS Clerk should be between the age of 20 and 28 years. The age will be relaxed for scheduled caste/ scheduled tribe, backward classes, persons with disabilities, widows, divorced women, persons affected from 1984 riots, and regular employees of the factory.
The candidate must have a minimum qualification from a recognised university.
They must have a working knowledge of the applications of computer systems.
They must be proficient in the state language.
