GMAT 2021: What and How to Prepare?

The Graduate Management admission council (GMAC) conducts the GMAT (Graduation Management Aptitude Test) examination multiple times a year.

Candidates can select among the various test dates as per their convenience. Candidates clearing the test can get into various MBA programs in Indian and foreign countries.

Candidates appearing for GMAT can give the test multiple times in a year with 16 days gap. They can attempt the paper more than 5 times but not more than 8 times. Candidates scoring 800 marks cannot attempt the exam again for at least 5 years.

There is no exact date list for the GMAT 2021. As per the candidate's convenience, they can select the exam date from a list while filling out the application form along with the exam date. GMAT 2021 will be held in over 600 centres in 114 countries.

In India, candidates can attempt the test organised in the following test centres: Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Dehradun, Bangalore, Guwahati, Patna, Mysore, Ranchi, Kolkata, Noida, Mohali, Chennai, Trivandrum, Bhubaneshwar, Pune, Indore, Cochin, Tiruchillapalli, Coimbatore, Nagpur, Patiala, and Vellore. GMAT 2021 aspirants can take up the examination at home, as per the safety guidelines due to COVID-19.

About the Registration Form.

The registration form is open and can be filled out any time of the year. It can be filled multiple times online. Candidates should first register using their name, nationality, and birth date to create a profile.

Pleaselease note that the application form's details should be correct; otherwise, they cannot be corrected. The form must be filled entirely, without which it is rejected.

The Application fee can be paid online and offline.

GMAT 2021 Paper Pattern.

The exam will be conducted online for a duration of 3 and a half hours. The paper is for 800 marks in MCQ format. Questions will be based on Analytical writing assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Verbal Reasoning.

The paper has negative marking. Therefore, candidates not sure about the answer should leave it blank.

How to Prepare?

There are many applicants, and to clear the exam successful, one must prepare diligently.

  1. Be thoroughly clear of the Exam Paper Pattern and Syllabus.

  2. Mock papers and Sample papers can be found online. Solving the papers can help candidates be clear of the subject's strengths and weaknesses and prepare accordingly.

  3. Stick to the prepared Study Plan. A proper study plan should be followed to utilise the preparation time wisely.

  4. Solve previous years' question papers to practise time management.

  5. Take care of your health with proper sleep and diet.

GMAT 2021 Score and Admission.

Candidates can log into the GMAT official website and check their GMAT 2021 score after a few days of the attempt. The GMAT score will not be shared in any offline mode.

The GMAT score will contain 5 years of assessment score and report. The admission procedure can be started after the result declaration based on the candidate's score.

The final admission is based on the application form, statement of purpose, and final interview rounds. The GMAT score can be shared with more than 7000 graduate business universities and B-school.
